The Charlotte Real is published by The Firm Real Estate Team, powered by lpt Realty ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use thecharlottereal.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you sign up for our newsletter or a guide, contact our team, submit a local tip, or submit an event, we collect what you enter. That can include:

  • Your name and email address, and your phone number if you choose to share it
  • Your message and what you'd like help with, such as buying, selling, relocating, or investing
  • Tip and event details, such as a business name, location, date, and links

Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as pages requested, the referring page, browser type, and IP address. To limit spam, we store a one-way scrambled version of your IP address with form submissions, never the address itself.

How we use it

  • To send you what you asked for, such as a guide or our newsletter
  • To reply when you contact us, and to have a licensed member of our team follow up when you ask us to
  • To review tips and events for possible publication. We do not publish your name or email without asking.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam, and understand which pages are useful
  • To meet our legal and licensing obligations

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Licensed agents of The Firm Real Estate Team who help you with your move, when you contact us
  • Service providers who run parts of the site for us, under their own privacy terms: website hosting and data storage (Netlify), email (MailerLite), our customer relationship system, call scheduling (Calendly), and web fonts (Google Fonts). Videos load from YouTube only when you press play.
  • Anyone we are required to share with by law

Email

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect right away.

Cookies

Public pages do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our editors' sign-in uses a cookie to keep them logged in. We do not use advertising networks or programmatic ads.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you are on our list or working with us, and as long as needed to meet real estate recordkeeping requirements. Ask us and we will delete what we are not required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.Email contact@thecharlottereal.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
